I Ching Hexagram 44
The hexagram 44 of the I Ching, Encountering, consists of Wind over the Sky. It symbolizes a situation where creativity is carried over long distances by the communicative power of the Wind. Wherever there is the Sky, the wind communicates its power to initiate something. The hexagram is entitled encountering to indicate that the situation is marked by an easy communication which produces many meeting opportunities. However, its extremely open nature allows all sorts of meetings because one cannot know in advance if a particular one is good or not.
