I Ching Hexagram 41
The hexagram 41 of the I Ching, Decrease, is a modification of the hexagram 11, Peace. This one was composed of Sky above the Earth, meaning the free givennes of the creative force that profits to the Earth. In the current situation, the basis of the previous hexagram has been decreased because the third line has moved to the top of the hexagram. Decrease indicates therefore a situation where the basis has been decreased. This corresponds to an apparently difficult situation. However, this hexagram teach that there is no real loss, only a reduction of what is basic to promote a higher goal, symbolized by the yang line at the top of the hexagram.
