I Ching Hexagram 37
The reading of the hexagram 37 of the I Ching, The Family, is based on the position of its lines. Each, except the sixth above, is in its place. The first line is a yang line in a yang a position, the second is a yin line in a yin position, and the successive lines until the fifth are all in their natural positions. The Family names a natural association whose harmony results from the adaptation of each individual to his role. However, this group must be in harmony, that which is assured by the only line that does not occupy its place, the sixth line whose yang force holds everything together. The result of such an association is indicated by its trigrams, which show the Wind generated by the Fire as in the warming dispensation of love and care in family.
Quick guide for interpretation
To be able to produce a harmonious whole, we must submit to a natural role.
