I Ching Hexagram 21
The meaning of the hexagram 21 of the I Ching, To Bite Through, is derived from its form, that of an open mouth containing something that hinders its closure. "Biting through" means the effort required to pass a strong obstacle introduced amidst a naturally ordered situation. We can use the necessary strength to overcome it because this obstacle is not natural. It is something embarrassing and external to the situation, and must, therefore, be eliminated by all means.
