The I Ching
The I Ching is one of the oldest books printed. The different translations into Western culture show the difficulty of imposing its own traditional concepts into a relational way of thinking. Different from Western thought since Plato, in chinese thought myth and poetry take place inside knowledge.
The I Ching is at the same time a book on a specific principle, the Tao, and the way though which this principle can be applied into the different dimensions of experience.
Historically speaking, this book is a classic of chinese culture. "Classic" here means a text which was studied in the classes of the imperial schools.
